NAVANTIA Lays F113 Frigate Keel at Ferrol Shipyard Ahead of Schedule

NAVANTIA has accelerated the construction of the F113 frigate, achieving a significant milestone in the F110 program. This development may enhance Spain’s naval capabilities amid regional security concerns.

On Tuesday, NAVANTIA's Ferrol shipyard ceremonially laid the keel of the F113 frigate, named "Menéndez de Avilés", seven months ahead of the planned schedule. This event was attended by the Director General for Armament and Material (DIGAM), Admiral Aniceto Rosique, along with NAVANTIA’s Chairman, Ricardo Domínguez.
