Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), formerly part of Israeli Military Industries (IMI), is Israel's premier small arms manufacturer producing iconic weapons including the Uzi submachine gun (1950) and the Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle — the current standard Israeli infantry weapon. Current products include X95 Tavor, Galil ACE, Negev NG7 LMG, and Jericho pistol series. IWI weapons are exported to 30+ nations and manufactured under license worldwide. The Tavor platform is used by Israeli Defense Forces and special forces globally.
