SİSTEM GENEL BAKIŞI
The Iver Huitfeldt class is Denmark's most capable surface combatant, a 6,600-tonne area air defense frigate built domestically by Odense Shipyard. Three ships commissioned provide the Royal Danish Navy with blue-water naval capability. The ships feature a 32-cell Mk 41 VLS for SM-2 and ESSM missiles, giving them genuine area air defense capability to protect task groups. Denmark donated one ship (HDMS Peter Willemoes) to Ukraine in 2024.
