Overview
Protected light airborne vehicle designed for German airborne and special forces, providing air-transportable armoured mobility. Based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class military platform with ballistic and mine protection. The AB (Airborne) variant is specifically optimized for air delivery by CH-53 and future CH-47F helicopters, with reduced weight and compact dimensions. Features STANAG 4569 Level 2 ballistic protection and Level 2a/b mine protection. Can mount a remote weapon station with 7.62mm or 12.7mm weapons. Carries 4-5 personnel. Weight of approximately 5.5 tonnes. Provides German paratroopers with organic protected mobility immediately upon air delivery, filling a critical capability gap for the Bundeswehr's rapid reaction forces.
