South Korea's indigenous anti-ship cruise missile family, providing the Republic of Korea Navy with a potent surface-strike capability. Mid-course guidance via inertial navigation with GPS updates. The Haeseong II extends the range significantly and adds land-attack capability with terrain-matching navigation. Deployed on KDX-II destroyers (8 launchers), KDX-III Aegis destroyers (16 launchers), and FFX frigates. The missile has been combat-tested in numerous live fire exercises and represents a core element of South Korea's naval strike capability in potential Korean Peninsula contingencies.
