Overview
The BAP Pisco (AMP-156) is a landing platform dock designed and constructed by SIMA state shipyard, commissioned 2018 — the largest warship ever built in Peru. It displaces approximately 13,000 tonnes full load and features a well dock for landing craft, a helicopter deck supporting two medium helicopters, hospital facilities with 50 beds, and vehicle/cargo decks. Primary missions include amphibious operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), and strategic troop transport along Peru's 2,400 km Pacific coast. The BAP Pisco represents a landmark in Peruvian naval industrial capability.
