Overview
Pakistan became the first export customer of the Chengdu J-10CE (export variant of J-10C) in 2022, receiving an initial batch of approximately 25 aircraft. The J-10CE features the KLJ-7A active electronically scanned array radar and is equipped with the PL-15 extended-range BVR missile — claimed to exceed 200 km engagement range. It uses the domestic WS-10B turbofan, providing independence from Russian engines. The canard-delta aerodynamic configuration provides excellent agility. Pakistan procured the type as a direct counter to India's Rafale acquisition.
