Overview
Multi-mission frigate class operated by the Royal Norwegian Navy. Equipped with the Lockheed Martin SPY-1F Aegis Combat System, making them the world's smallest Aegis-equipped ships. Armed with ESSM air defense missiles, NSM anti-ship missiles, and Sting Ray torpedoes. Designed for North Atlantic and Arctic operations. The fleet was reduced from 5 to 4 after HNoMS Helge Ingstad was lost in 2018.
