Overview
Soviet-era attack and transport helicopter operated by Uzbek Air and Air Defence Forces since independence. Approximately 34 in inventory. Armed with rocket pods, anti-tank missiles, and 12.7mm nose gun. Dual role allows attack and transport of up to 8 troops. Primarily used for close air support and border security operations.
