The class features the HQ-16B medium-range vertical-launch SAM (range 40+ km), 8x C-802A anti-ship missiles, a 76mm main gun, torpedo tubes, and a towed-array sonar for anti-submarine warfare. A helicopter hangar accommodates one naval helicopter. The four-ship class represents a step change in Pakistan Naval Force surface warfare capability.
