SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Type 003 Fujian is China's third aircraft carrier and the first to feature an electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) and advanced arrest gear, equivalent in technology level to the USS Gerald R. Ford class. At approximately 80,000 tonnes displacement, the Fujian carries an air wing of approximately 60 aircraft and represents a generational leap over the Type 001 Liaoning and Type 002 Shandong ski-jump carriers.
