Overview
The Type 214HN is the Hellenic Navy-specific variant of the German Type 214 air-independent propulsion submarine. Greece ordered four Papanikolis-class boats built at Hellenic Shipyards and HDW Kiel. Equipped with hydrogen fuel cells for extended submerged endurance, heavyweight torpedoes, and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
