Safran
Safran is a French multinational aerospace and defense group that emerged from the merger of SNECMA and Sagem. A major supplier of aircraft engines (CFM56, LEAP), helicopter turboshafts (Arrius, Makila, Ardiden), landing systems, navigation/optronics, and electromechanical actuators. In defense, Safran is critical for the Rafale's M88-2 engine, helicopter turbines for the Tiger, NH90, and EC725 Caracal, and the STRIX thermal imaging sight for the Tiger attack helicopter. The Safran Group is also the primary producer of French military inertial navigation systems, laser rangefinders, and targeting pods (Damocles). Revenue: ~€19B (2022).
