OPV-62 Offshore Patrol Vessel
The OPV-62 is an Azerbaijani offshore patrol vessel constructed at the Baku Shipyard, representing indigenous naval construction capability for Caspian Sea operations. Armed with a 76mm gun, 30mm autocannon, and anti-ship missile launchers, the vessel monitors maritime traffic, enforces Azerbaijan's exclusive economic zone, and provides naval presence in the energy-rich southern Caspian. The Baku Shipyard program supports Azerbaijan's strategic goal of developing sovereign naval production and maintenance capability.
