The Type 076 is China's next-generation amphibious assault ship under construction, expected to be the world's first LHA equipped with an electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS), allowing it to operate carrier-capable fixed-wing unmanned aircraft such as the GJ-11 alongside helicopters. At an estimated 50,000+ tonnes, the Type 076 will be China's largest surface combatant after carriers.
