Il-76MD-90A nakliye platformuna dayanan yeni nesil hava erken uyarı ve kontrol uçağı. 360 derece kapsama sağlayan çift bant AESA radar, gelişmiş savaş yönetim sistemleri ve dijital veri bağlantıları içerir. Yaşlanan A-50/A-50U Mainstay uçaklarının yerini almak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Ukrayna saldırılarının mevcut AWACS filosunu yok etmesi/darbelere neden olması nedeniyle Rus hava operasyonları için kritik bir yetenek açığıdır.
