Igla-S MANPADS
SİSTEM GENEL BAKIŞI
The Igla-S (SA-24 Grinch) is a Russian man-portable air defense system developed by KBM as a successor to the Igla-1, featuring an enhanced dual-band IR/UV seeker that improves resistance to flare countermeasures and increases hit probability. The 9M342 missile reaches a speed of Mach 1.9 and engages targets at ranges up to 6 km and altitudes up to 3,500 m. Bangladesh fields the Igla-S for organic air defense at the infantry battalion and brigade level, providing protection against helicopter gunships, fixed-wing aircraft on attack runs, and low-flying reconnaissance drones.
