The PLZ-05 is China's primary self-propelled howitzer, mounting a 155mm/52-caliber gun in a fully enclosed tracked chassis. It replaced the PLZ-45 in PLAGF service and provides artillery support comparable to the German PzH 2000. The PLZ-05 features an automatic loading system, GPS-aided navigation, and digital fire control enabling rapid fire missions and immediate displacement.
